Boxercise is a combination of boxing and circuit-training program with various stations. You could be expecting to do strength work including sit-ups, push-ups, lunges, squats and jumping jacks and skipping. Typical punches and kicks used in boxercise classes include jabs, hooks, upper cuts, front kicks, side kicks and roundhouse kicks. These kicks and punches will be utilised in all sorts of combinations. Equipment used are punch bags, speedballs, focus pads, hand wraps, boxing gloves and a skipping rope.
A typical Boxercise class lasts for an 1 hour and is done to motivating music. Class includes a warm up session that will Increase the core body temperature improve muscle blood flow, help to prevent injury to the joints and muscles. It also helps in psychological preparation for the class.
